Breathe in.....breathe out...ahhhhhh! Ahhhhhh &%$#@#! %^$#@&! That breathing crap doesn't work; nope not one bit. I went house hunting again today. The house that I had been looking at is now under contract. It's been vacant for 6 months and now that I want to buy it, someone else is. When I couldn't get a loan there were all sorts of good deals and now that there might be a chance of me getting one....no houses!
Anyway, I looked at house today in my price range and called the realitor to view the house. I went to the house, she came out and was very curt to me and my parents. I mean what's up with that, is she or is she not in the business of selling houses? When we finished looking at the house and she left us in a cloud of dust, she couldn't wait to leave. I was backing out the driveway, slide off the concrete and into a ditch...great! So now my car is stuck. Everytime I tried to work my way out, I just kept sinking in the mud. I got out of my car proceeded to curse like a sailor and rant and rave. Here I am at this strange house with my car in the ditch. Noooooot a happy camper was I. As I was calling a tow truck company to tow my car, up drove the owner of the house. He asked, "What's seems to be the problem," "Well Mister I was looking at your house and liked your ditch so much I decided to stay." "That's what." So he tries to figure out a way to get the car unstuck...no such luck.
Finally, the tow truck arrives. The driver then proceeds to hitch my car up to the cable and pull it straight out. AHHHHH! I could just hear the undercarraige scraping against the concrete. I started yelling at him to stop that he needed to pull it out at an angle, but he just kept pulling. I was so mad that I just yelled at him that it was okay if he pulled the undercarriage out of my car that he was going to pay for it! The owner of the house, seeing how angry I was went over to talk to the tow truck driver and he actually listened to him. Go figure?
Well my car is out of the ditch, my last nerve has been grated on, and I still don't have a house yet. Ain't life grand!
..........and how was your day? ;)

Well, it definitely was better than that.
Yeah, I could get good loans now too but I guess everyone and their grandma is looking to buy so the good deals are getting harder to find. :p
Plus, this area's disgustingly overpriced (Santa Barbara, CA).
Wow! ZS I can't imagine being able to buy a house in Santa Barbara. Back in the early 90's my ex and I lived in the DC area, small town houses were going for around almost 200K. I have a sneaking suspition that the prime lending rate is going to sky rocket around Christmas time. I hope I can get while the gettin's good. I hope you and your wifey can too. :)
