Musical Notes

I wish I knew how to post audio links. Anyway, I received my compilation cd today...Finally!!! One of my songs is on it. I've been on another compilation cd with other unknown lyricists before..but this, this one is very good, It's not just cookie cutter country, it's jazzy and popish too. It really showcases the artist's talents. I must say, my feeble attempts pale in comparison with some of the others. Nothing will come of it I'm sure, but I'm hap, hap, happy to be in the presence of such talented people. I feel as those my limits have been exposed. Ha! ;) I would actually buy this cd. The demo singers are awesome.

other musical notes: A friend of mine whose mega talented and aptly equipped with a beautiful crystal clear voice, helped me record a song about a year ago. She wrote the music, I wrote the lyrics and we recorded it. It was a very interesting and informative experience. Anyway, she got a copy and I got a copy, I sent mine to my song plugger, which I no longer am able to afford, and she kept hers, letting people here and there listen to it. She just told me she gave it to a friend of hers who was heading to Iraq. I couldn't be more pleased to know that. The song was a gospel song, a labor of love and it makes it all worth for me just to entertain the thought of it inspiring someone else...especially a soldier far from home.

later gators,

Moni, how cool. You are quite accomplished. I would love to be able to write a song, much less have it become part of a compilation cd that another singer was inspired to sing. Congrats.

Okay. is the song online? Well, what is the website address? Now, blogger doesn't like greater than and less than's, so I will use []'s instead. Replace the []'s with greater than's and less than's.

[a href = "http://www.moni.com/song.mp3"]The name of the song[/a]

Do that and you'll have a link to your song.

I'm trying to figure out how to download the cd on the internet. My laptop's modem drivers need to be re-adjusted so I currently using my parents olllld computer.

And you have to realize that I am a lowly Respiratory Therapist and not computer guru's like you guys.;)

I am downloading a music application so maybe I can do it that way.

Anyway, although I am used to criticism, I don't relish it so be kind, but truthful. ;P It's country and keep that in mind too.

Country is a bonus for me, although Zombie is a metal head, but he seems to be fair minded enough to be able to judge it according to it's context.

Moni, you might want to try sites like http://storeandserve.com/ or www.esnips.com where you can upload your music file and then provide a link to people so they may download your song. 'Tis free, too....

Thanks Valannin. I tried both sites, one would not upload at all and the other notified me that the file was too large. I guess I'll have to compress it...if that is possible?

Anyway, thanks for the info I really appreciate it. :)
