Sensitive Sappy Singers: Part Deux

Going along with the previous post, I feel that my job isn't done and I would be doing a grave disservice unless I mentioned a few more SSS's. So here again is my pick for Sensitive Sappy Singers number two.

This singer started at the tender age of 9 and went on to wow audiences with his multi-faceted, almost unearthly talents. He sings both classical and pop and has had the dubious honor at a very young age of filling in for opera great Andrea Bocelli. As if that weren't enough, he sang at the Super Bowl, the Vatican and appeared on the tv show Ally McBeal. I'm talking about none other than musical prodigy Josh Groban.

In an age where singers gyrate, boy bands have no instruments, and bootylicious, breast-baring, babes sing about their lovely lady lumps, it's refreshing to know that there is a shining beacon of hope that true talent still exists in the musical youth of today. That beacon rings brightly within the beautifully baritone notes that flow effortlessly from Josh's vocal chords.

So he can sing, you say. Yes he can, but it's not just that he sings it's how he sings that catapults him miles away from the mediocre drone of singers his age. He sings in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. He doesn't speak them fluently but no one would be the wiser because his articulation is immaculate. He does speak Japanese As if that weren't enough, he plays seven different instruments including piano, drums, and flute, just to name a few.

I tell you if you look up the word "talent" in the dictionary you should see a picture of this man. All ages appreciate true talent and as a result, his songs transcend the ages. When I went to one of his concerts last year, I saw fans ranging in ages from 6 to 60. I was nearly deaf by the end of the concert, not because the music was too loud, but because the applause was thundering. I've never heard applause that loud.

And of course with his kind of talent you wouldn't pair it with superficial song lyrics. So needless to say, his lyrics touch your heart and lift you to higher plane.

You can listen to some of them here.

Oh, I almost forgot he's damn fine looking and if I were about 15 years younger, I would set my hat for him, as my mother would say. Ha, who I am I kidding? I'd just be 15 years younger. ;p Hey I could be the "Demi" to his "Ashton".

I recommend his Closer album for starters.

I need to pick up a few of his albums, but I have already noticed this young man. Such a sweet effortless voice he has. My wife and I have on more than one occasion mentioned that we need to hear more. Good taste Moni.

I think your wife would really like his albums. You know it's funny when I went to his concert I saw alot of men hand in hand with their women with this, "she made me come," look on their face.

Afterward, I saw the same men saying, "You know that dude really rocked on the drums." So go figure, it's all in what ya like eh? Or they could have been faking his music, like we(gals) fake football...one may never know.
;)

I doubt they were faking it. He reminds me of a young Billy Joel without the bad boy persona. He'll catch on and getting even more popular.

Funny about the football think though. My wife had me going on that one too. Turns out she just loves Brett Favre.

Dang, the website got redirected to something else. I think his website got hijacked or something.

Anyone who could speak more than two languages gets props in my book. I'll have to find out who he is. Never heard of him. That's pretty cool.
