Of Birthdays and Such

Will miracles never cease? There is more in this world than is revealed to the naked eye. lol You will not believe this... I bought a pack of cigarettes for my stepdad this weekend and because I don't smoke I didn't know what exactly to get. It's like the Spanish Inquisition when you buy them.

"Would you like menthols?"
"Do you want the regulars?"
"Do you want the hard pack, or soft?"

After the barrage of questions then came the question of all questions...the piece de' resistance, "When's your birthday?"

Whaaaaa?! Yes, ladies and gentlemen I got carded when buying a pack of cigs...I was shocked, taken aback so much so that I couldn't remember my birthday. I am loooooooong past 18 and it's been about 20 years since I last got carded.

Needless to say, I floated out door. God bless that young, nearly blind cashier! ;P

My daughter is turning 10 tomorrow. I'm going to put a brick on her head to keep her from growing.

To my Breezy:

A Song For My Sunshine

She shoves rainbows in her pockets.
She catches stars in a mason jar.
She carries wishes in locket for pony out in the yard.
But, all I can give her is a song.

I'll sing a song for my sunshine
when she goes to bed each night.
I'll sing a song for my sunshine,
and then turn out the light.
And she'll drift in dreams and the scheme of things,
and what tomorrow might bring.
But, what tomorrow will bring is days too fast, and time
that won't last and before you know it she'll be grown.

So, I'll sing a song for my sunshine because
my heart will always be her home.

I am glad you felt all nice and fluttery (as in a butterfly fluttering among flowers). Maybe the cashier wasn't blind !

Aaaaaaand....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a dear little girl. I would like to wish you Good Health and Happiness always. May you bring endless joy and comfort to your Mother and all your loved ones. May God Bless you and keep you in His Loving care.

I think maybe the guy was hitting on you! I know what you mean about keeping the kids from growing. My youngest is getting so big now. He is not a baby anymore, but a full blown toddler.

g-dude--Breezy says, "thanks." Great day to you too! :)

Blue--Thank you so much for the lovely wishes, you are so encouraging. I did flutter and believe me the cashier was nearly blind. But, I'll take a compliment whenever I can get one. :)

Scott--The cashier wasn't a guy. :) Uhh...still,I guess it could be possible that I was being hit upon. lol You have your hands full my friend, your boys sound adorable though.
