I don't know if I'll be able to make it to the Highland Games this year, I'll miss my once a year fill of M.I.K(men in kilts), Celtic music, Scottish dancing and most of all visiting with my friend Mary. All is not a total loss though, my daughter's coming back from Florida and yesterday I watched a lovely tour of Scotland on the Travel Channel. Then I turned the channel and watched Four Weddings and a Funeral, so in a visual way I got my M.I.K fix. :)
Anyway, to all the my American blogging friends Happy 4th. To all my other blogging friends, Happy Tuesday!

Happy Independence Day!
Awww...I just sent you an e-mail asking if you were going to GM this weekend and I hope you'll still be able to make it on Saturday. If not, I'll be sure to take extra pictures of MIK's for you! :)
P.S. Did you happen to spot Joe and Clann An Drumma in the Globe Trekker Scotland episode? They're performing in the sequence at Stirling Castle for the Braveheart Banquet...very cool!
I had a good time myself. The Scottish festival sounds wonderful, and a lot of fun to attend.
Mary-- I just wish I could come up with the money. I've been doing some repairs to the house. Basically my 4th was spent painting my den...oh joy! :( I'm still holding out hope...we'll see how my puny paycheck is. I would so love to visit with you again.
P.S. Aye, I did see Joe and CAD performing at Stirling Castle on tv. I had just walked in the room and they caught my eye. My mom said, "that's not Joe." "I said yes it is...his band mates changed!" He was looking quite sexy in his wee cap. ;)
((hugs)) hope to see ya soon!
Scott-I read that you had a wonderful time and you remembered all the words to the patriotic songs. Good American! ;)
Scottish festivals are fun you should go to one, you won't be disappointed. I have a weakness for looking a men in kilts...hubba! hubba! :) But they're a good lesson in the Scottish culture too.
And I read Playboy for the articles.
Scott--you mean you don't?!!! ROTLMAO! I've been zinged.
