Every hour of every day I'm learning more.
The more I learn, the less I know about before.
The less I know, the more I wanna look around,
Digging deep for clues on higher ground.

Wolfie Blitzer's telling me that Hezbollah's blaming Israel for aiming their phosphorus filled bombs distinctly at civilian targets. And in retort Israel is saying Hezbollah's bombs are purposely filled with ball bearings, which is against, "The Laws of War," which I can only assume, they are referring to the Geneva Convention. It's extremely tragic about the loss of human life, but isn't that what war is designed to do. Kill? It's unfortunate that there are no nice bombs. Word to the wise, don't mess with Israel. Did Patton say, "War is Hell?" Well, whomever said it was spot on.
Here's a thought let's put the world leaders in the ring and let 'em duke it out, a la old school style. Yeah, I know I'm overly simplistic...it's who I am.
Bless all the people of God's green earth

Ha, the Geneva Convention. Almost as impotent and pointless as the UN. Hard to explain the rules of the card game when half the competitors aren't playing with a full deck.
God, that was a lousy analogy.
And if we bless all the people of god's green earth, does that mean, by logical extention, we should rain fire upon those in the desert? I rather think so...
I believe that in the old days they decided to put Davey Crockett and Santa Ana in the ring to settle a dispute. Santa Ana kicked his butt real good. I tried to google it but didn't find anything right away.
Your war is hell reference is quite applicable. People expect that our own skirmishes should be casualty-free, as if our technology should somehow excuse us. Let's pray for our children's sakes that we can get beyond all this.
Val--Too true I'm sure FDR didn't in vision the UN this way. Also true is the competitors aren't playing with a full deck.
But you can bet that the US is held accountable for it's war crimes.
lol I was talking about the world in it's entirety, even the ones in the desert. ;)
Scott--I didn't know that about Davey Crockett and Santa Ana, all I know is that Ana kicked our buts at the Alamo.
Yes, I hope and pray that we can get beyond this, although this has been going on for thousands of years to some degree. I don't think it's will end too soon, even with Condaleza's magic satchel
