Well, maybe more like 4 day tripper. And no; not the kind of day tipper Lennon was refering to in the song. ;) It turns out that I did go to New York to see my friend and it was a nice trip. First, I drove to Baltimore to meet up with him and we saw the Orioles play the Yankees at Camden Yards. That was really an unexpected treat. I was never that into baseball, but was coerced into watching it as a kid due to the fact that we only had one t.v. I'll have to admit the game is much better when watched from the stands. I had such a good time that I think I'll have to go back. We toured the Babe Ruth museum and had lunch at the harbour, spent the night in Baltimore and then drove to New York.
We spent a full day to taking in the sights in NYC; not nearly enough time. We took a wonderful boat tour around Manhattan, saw all the touristy things there are to see in the Big Apple without having to brave the subway or traffic. After the tour, it was on to Times Square and then ending with an awesome Indian meal in Greenwich Village. All in all, I could say that I had a good time and it was really a learning experience for my daughter who has never been to really large city.
I enjoyed the sights, but as it always seems to pan out, we had an argument on my last day there. I guess everything is as right as rain now, but you know angry words linger in our subconsciousness for a long time, sometimes they never leave us. I don't know how this goes, so I guess I'll just go with the flow.
I hope everyone out there in bloggerdom is doing fine and dandy and that all is well on your side of the computer screen.

I don't follow baseball either, but watching it live is quite fun. It's the whole experience.
right now, probably couldn't name 10 players. I could name all 53 players on the Green Bay Packers however and even some of the Practice Squad.
I take you're a Green Bay fan then. lol
Sorry it took so long to reply, I can finally get on blogger.
take care and Merry Chirstmas to you and yours :)
