What is Going On?!

Recently there has been an outbreak of school shootings in the U.S., the most recent being that of gunman going into an Amish school and opening fire. How do you contain something like that or what's more how do we prevent it. How do we prevent some sick twisted bastard from going into a schools and opening fire on our children? It's just a disgusting scenario that keeps repeating itself.

We can't send our kids to school to learn saftly. It's not like they're not already threatened with drugs, sex and peer pressure. How can they learn in an unsafe environment? They can't! I don't have a clue as to what to do about that...you can't police every nutcase.

I'm just disgusted...

The sacredness of life should never be taken for granted. Dedicated to the innocent ones who've lost their lives in the past couple of weeks

Sacred

Looking through the open window of a small ttnenment apartment; she sits...
The tears slide down her cheek and she catches each on like a precious
gem, as it falls into the concaveness of her lap.
Fear and anger flash in his eyes and he speaks.
"What will we do?"
"I didn't want this!"
"We don't need this."
She smiles through the pain and with the voice of a child whispers,
"Life is sacred and love will make a way."

He creeps slowly as if walking on a half frozen pond.
Joints scream out with the memory of too many worn years.
Carrying her favorite yellow roses, bending; he coerces his body to
move in a fashion unfamiliar since youth.
He places the flowers on the ground beside a marble plaque and gently whispers
to the wind, "Sadie, fifty years are not enough."
He hears her respond with the call of winter calm
"Life is sacred and love will make a way."

Too much distance between you and I.
Too many misconceptions on your part and mine
Throw them into the vast void that seperates us.
Lock them away, never to be remembered.
We haven't any time to waste, not one minute.
"Life is sacred and love will make a way."

Bless and be safe.

Hi Moni! It's been a couple days. I know you've seen that I've been busy. Where is Val anyway?

This school thing has got me really spooked. I suppose we're going to have to throw down in every community enough money to pay for armed security at every school. It may sound scary, but it scares me more that one guy with a gun can mow right through a school.

Well glad to see you back Scott! I think Val's a tad bit busy these days too, but not to fear he'll be back soon.

Regarding the school shootings; I know I'm frightened for my daughter. These kind of tactics are nothing short of terrorism. How about a little bit of REAL homeland security.

Not saying that gun control is the answer either. I just don't know what the answer is.

((hugs))
